Land contains products of blessing and curses from years past and sins of former generations can continue to have a spiritual impact as the productivity and fruitfulness God desires for the area is subject to forces opposite to God’s purpose.
Isaiah 24:5-6(a) – “The land and the earth also are defiled by their inhabitants, because they have transgressed the laws, disregarded the statutes, and broken the everlasting covenant. Therefore a curse devours the land and the earth and they who dwell in it suffer the punishment of their guilt.” AMPC
The word land is referred to over 1700 times in scripture. Joel 2:18 tells us – “Then was the Lord jealous for His land and had pity on His people.” AMPC. Just as God has a redemptive plan for His people, He is has a plan for the land. He has promised healing is available for the land (2 Chronicles 7:14), with the proper response from His people.
Our prayer teams of believers from multiple area Christian churches seek
God for a strategy to pray over land in our area, traveling on Thursdays, select Saturdays and by appointment. Prayers are structured as God directs, often with identificational repentance as a starting point. Our territory began with Washington County and has expanded to the North and West into Burt, Cumming, Dodge and Thurston Counties.
“O land, land, land, hear the word of the Lord!” – Jer. 22:29 (AMPC)
God has promised us:
Every place upon which the sole of your foot shall tread, that have I given to you. – Joshua 1:3 (AMPC)
You shall rebuild the ancient ruins; you shall raise up the former desolations and renew the ruined city, the devastations of many generations. You shall be called the priests of the Lord; people will speak of you as the ministers of God. You shall eat the wealth of nations and the glory that was once on your captors shall be yours. – Isaiah 61:4-5 (AMPC)
